Honorable Mention

Homage to William Turner
DESCRIPTION
In the last years of his career, William Turner became increasingly abstract in his paintings. I really like this style of painting, a precursor to Impressionism, so I looked for a suitable motif for my homage while travelling on the island of Usedom. I quickly found what I was looking for here. The Holland windmill from 1823 was the perfect motif. AUTHOR
"It is an illusion that photos are taken with a camera... they are taken with the eye, the heart and the head." Henri Cartier-BressonFrank Schasse is an architect and has been passionate about photography since his student days. He uses photography to express his creativity. Seeing plays a decisive role for him. The transformation of what is seen into a new image, into which moods and feelings flow. A very exciting process. Photographic art in particular offers many possibilities. Impressionism often serves as a model for him.
