Honorable Mention

Vietnam: tradiotion and modernity
DESCRIPTION
We live in an era characterized by a massive production of images and the widespread desire to share them. Already in the second half of the last century, a great Italian writer, Italo Calvino, wondered if the imagination would continue to exist in the twenty-first century "in a growing inflation of prefabricated images".Today, thanks to the ease of creating visual content and the presence of digital tools and platforms for its dissemination, the question arises: what added value can my photography offer compared to the thousands of images already available online? If on the one hand this dynamic has democratized access to production, on the other hand it has led to a visual proliferation which, as predicted by the writer, risks reducing the creativity and communicative power of images.
Aware of this scenario and adopting a critical approach, I try to cultivate originality, imagination and inventiveness, so that each of my images can convey an authentic emotion. In particular, I focus on the creation of photographs obtained by superimposing several shots, with the intention of evoking emotions and memories linked to specific moments or places.
Numerous artists are experimenting with new techniques, such as the Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) and the Multiple Exposure ICM, disciplines that I find very stimulating and from which, in total honesty, without desire to replicate, I consider particularly inspiring, contributing to professional enrichment and constructive comparison. Among the authors I appreciate the most is certainly Pep Ventosa, known for his extraordinary creations.
Last year I presented a first project receiving an honorable mention and, this year, I submit a second work to the judgment of the critics.
