Honorable Mention

The most colorful of all butterflies... the Cameron Highlands Skipper.
DESCRIPTION
It was an incredible coincidence. I saw it while driving through the jungle from the window of a moving car. The newly hatched skipper shone brightly in the surrounding greenery. It is a type of insect that is neither a day butterfly nor a night moth. It fills the gap between the two. It is difficult to photograph it, they are named for their quick, darting flight habits..It was easy for me to photograph because after hatching it waited for its wings to dry. Plus, its wings are completely intact and its colors are fresh.
AUTHOR
I live in the Czech Republic. I have been taking photos since I was twelve (my first camera was a Kodak Box), so for fifty-five years now. I travel with my camera and take photos for fun. We photographers have a desire to collect beautiful moments. Or document them. It is both creation and collecting at the same time. When I was a boy and my parents asked where I was going, the simple answer was… Taking photos. When someone asked, what you do?... I take photos. The digitization of photographic images brings fascinating possibilities. I am a little worried about how much it will affect the photographic arts and crafts itself. But then I think, the themes and objects will remain. That is what it is mainly about.Jiri Anderle
