Rainbow boat
DESCRIPTION
This photograph captures a building illuminated at night in Miami, where bold panels of red, blue, and purple light transform the architecture into a glowing urban canvas. The mirrored reflection doubles the structure, creating a sense of symmetry and abstraction that blurs the boundary between reality and illusion.
Reflected perfectly on the "imaginary" water, the structure takes on the surreal appearance of a rainbow boat, sailing through the darkness.
The vivid palette and geometric rhythm evoke energy, movement, and a vibrant pulse.
AUTHOR
I am a French photographer based in Tours, in the Loire Valley. My passion for photography began at the age of fourteen. Since then, I have never stopped observing the world through the lens, with the desire to capture beauty and preserve fleeting emotions. My practice focuses on urban landscapes and architecture, which I reinterpret to reveal both their aesthetic power and their emotional resonance. By exploring major cities and emblematic sites, I seek to transpose the vibration and energy I feel when confronted with their spaces.
My work proposes a renewed perception of architecture and our environment. Through digital recomposition and sublimation of the image, I develop series such as Imaginary, where emotion and imagination shape an inner vision of the city. The pictorialist movement has had a strong influence on my artistic approach, guiding me to consider photography not only as a mirror of reality but as a means of artistic re-creation. Retouching thus becomes a step in the creative process, at the service of emotion.
I deliberately move away from narration or descriptive storytelling to remain in a contemplative register. Light that borders on the unreal, blur that tends toward abstraction, these are choices that allow me to position my work between hyperrealism and surrealism.
