Concrete Memento
Gary Ng, Hong Kong
Concrete Memento
DESCRIPTION
This image shows moments in the concrete station of Uji in Kyoto, Japan, where sunlight funnels through the brutalist openings and casts a momentary spotlight on to the solitary passerby ascending on the staircase. Through this image, the audience bring home visual souvenirs of the fleeting interplay between light, humans from all walks of life and a space for travel and commute.
