Echoes of the Mirror
DESCRIPTION
Plunged into darkness, a silhouette confronts a mirror that reflects no face but pulsates like a wave. The image becomes ritual, passage and revelation. Here, the mirror is not a simple object, it is buried memory, hidden consciousness, the threshold between what is and what could be. The smoke that surrounds it clouds our certainties and embodies our illusions: what we believe we see is never more than a projection of ourselves.
This series questions the fragility of identity and the power of symbols. It invites us to dive beyond the reflection, to lose ourselves in the hypnotic circles that remind us that all truth is but a wave in motion, elusive, ever-changing.

Motivation and Vision
My fascination with creating portraits in dark, brooding atmospheres stems from my early child-hood. Since then, I have been captivated by fantastical worlds and strive to create portraits that transport viewers into alternate universes. I envision my portraits as windows opening onto imaginary realms. From the darkness of the soul can emerge a clarity that moves me. Light that is too bright often dazzles, while darkness magnifies it. I aim to capture these contrasts in my portraits. Ancient civilizations have always been a source of inspiration for me. I aspire for my portraits to resonate with viewers, allowing them to see and recognize themselves within.
