The Death of Venus
DESCRIPTION
Synopsis:The piece The Death of Venus is a inverse to Sandro Botticelli The Birth of Venus and is a conceptual of the armageddon biblical prophecy of the destruction of Edom (New Rome), where during the war of Gog and Magog, the Persians and the Edomites will mutually destroy each other. In Roman mythology, Venus is the Goddess of birth and the piece depicts her in inverse form.
Description:
They cry, they cry, 'the goddess has fallen',
On once was proud grounds of rigour and toil,
Staged wars, made famines and finances foiled,
Planned like old scripts, meant-to-test a new Roman,
As myths of Venus's violent start bore fruits,
Of beauty, love, all passion and truths,
Her fiery death will light and awake,
The divine sparks from their deep dream state,
For this city of fire is not worth the fight,
Underneath its glaze are circuit board lights,
Where positive and negative are working in sync,
Like battery terminals to harvest the weak.
