Honorable Mention

Araucarias of the Nahuelbuta mountain range
DESCRIPTION
These images correspond to the last forest of Araucaria araucana, which survives in the Coastal Range in Chile. These specimens were heavily exploited in the past. Currently, few specimens remain located in the south of Chile. AUTHOR
I am a journalist and photographer; I started in the field of communications, doing press work for a government institution. However, soon after, the habit of looking out the window made me realize that my true work was out there. Thus, I delved into the field of journalism, building a career through editorial offices, on-the-ground coverage, and personal explorations through images. I have worked in media such as Diario Crónica (now La Estrella), Crónica Chillán, Diario Concepción, and El Mercurio, as well as news agencies like Aton Chile, Photosport, Agencia Uno, EFE, and Getty Images. I have also published in media outlets of Grupo Copesa, La Segunda, and Las Últimas Noticias, as well as in international platforms.
