Let Them Eat Cake!
DESCRIPTION
“Let Them Eat Cake!” reimagines the decadence of the 18th century as a mirror of today’s inequality. Inspired by the era of Marie Antoinette, the image contrasts opulence and fragility — the illusion of abundance set against the quiet despair of those left unseen. The portrait is both theatrical and human, embodying the timeless divide between privilege and poverty. Through light, costume, and posture, it transforms historical luxury into a critique of contemporary excess, questioning how far we have truly come from the echoes of that gilded age. AUTHOR
I started with photography in the age of ten years and studied IDTV later. After 6 years in an advertising agency as graphic designer and photographer I decided to start as self-employed photographer. Besides my new work as chief editor for local Magazin I created my own studio for creative photography with focus on people, masks and beauty shots in 2013.
