IKARUS, No. 14
DESCRIPTION
From the series IKAURS, where I took portraits of preparations of extinct or highly endangered birds. This is a "Bald Ibis", there are now very few specimens in captivity, whereas around 200 years ago they were still numerous in European forests. This species is also nearly extinct due to human activity.
AUTHOR
I am a freelance photographer specializing in fine art and advertising, often fusing the two. I am frequently asked to combine creative visions with commercial assignments, this makes me a versatile professional in various disciplines, especially in conceptualization and high quality and creative photography.After various stations as a journalist, still and set photographer and first assignments from advertising agencies, the desire matured in me to develop and establish my own, independent form of photography. In the course of time, multi-layered and ambiguous images emerged, which virtually demand interaction with the viewer.
Today I am an internationally awarded, exhibited and globally active commercial photographer and artist. I am a Professional Member in the renowned BFF (Berufsverband freiberuflicher Fotografen und Filmgestalter e.V.), was a member of the national board there from 2020 to 2022 and I am a member of the Association of Photographers (AOP) in London and the DGPh (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie) in Germany.
I also lecture on photography and lead workshops and masterclasses.
