Honorable Mention
Gold Beach Port 01
DESCRIPTION
Gold Beach is a sleepy southern Oregon coast salmon fishing and river rafting tourist town on the mouth of the Rogue River with a year round population of about 2,500 permanent residents. I have been going there with my family since the ninth grade and have lived there off and on since they relocated there permanently in 1987. After all these years I have only recently begun to seek out a subject to photograph. I have always considered Gold Beach to be the most beautiful and depressing place on the planet to be stuck.
