Little Shiva
DESCRIPTION
A Rajasthani boy dressed up like Hindu God Shiva, waiting for alms during the Pushkar Fair or Pushkar ka Mela, one of the world's largest cattle fair, in Pushkar, Rajasthan state, India, 12 November 2013. The festival hosts around 50,000 camels which are sold, decorated, shaved and raced. Every year thousands of devotees throng the lake of Puskar around the full moon day of Kartik Purnima in month of October - November to take a holy dip. AUTHOR
Born in Amreli, Gujarat (India) in 1981, Divyakant Solanki is a self-taught photographer. He developed passion for photography after finishing his Diploma in Computer Engineering and joined as a photographer with Business Standard in Ahmedabad in 2003. In 2005 he moved to Mumbai to work as Senior Photographer at Business Standard daily before joining European Pressphoto Agency (EPA) in 2010.
