Chant d'Automne (Autumn Song)
DESCRIPTION
This image was created in collaboration with an amazing team. Model Peyton Gastel from Sophia Models International, Makeup and hair artist Emilia Kuczma-Porębska, Stylist Sheena Anne and photography by yours truly, Katherine Calnan Photography. For this photoshoot Stylist, Sheena Anne, was playing on various textures for clothing, a perfect combination was achieved to create interest in the outfit and still remain playful for the fall/ winter season. We all fell in love with the vintage skirt that had hints of red that paired perfectctly with our Model, Peyton's tone of hair.
Makeup was kept simple to bring out the natural features of Peyton and leave the emphasis on her and gorgeous hair.
The set was created and painted olive green to create a deep background inline with the feelng of fall and winter. Lighting used for this shoot was the Broncolor Siros 800 s Monolights and Modifier Broncolor 150 Octabox. Image was captured using a Fujifilm GFX50s medium format camera.

Katherine Calnan is a published fashion photographer and an Accredited Professional Photographer with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC). Specializing in fashion, commercial, portrait photography and based in Calgary, Alberta. She regularly works with some of largest model agencies in Canada and also agencies in America.
She has both a Business and an Economics degrees from the University of Calgary. She then furthered her education in photography taking courses in Canada, USA and the UK. After many years in the oil and gas industry she transitioned into the world of professional photography.
She spent a large part of her life in advanced competitive figure skating, ballet and dance. Katherine is also a black belt in Shotokan with further training in Ninjutsu and close quarter combat.
Her studio serves Calgary and surrounding areas. She travels extensively across Canada and the USA following her passion for photography and also covers assignments in Europe.
Photos can be a very personal and private experience and Katherine excels at making you feel confident, relaxed and positive while giving you beautiful lasting images that will endure the tests of time.
