Honorable Mention
Black Bodice
DESCRIPTION
When I meet a person to be my subject, I get immediately engaged into the search of his/her personality looking for inspiration. I want to be able to dive into my subject so He/She can get the most of me.When I thought about this portrait I wanted to give an ethereal and subtle air in which the woman captures all the attention before our very eyes. This is why I choose this so soft lighting, in line with the smoothness of the skin of this woman. And this illumination, however, reveals everything, without hiding any details.
Being a partial nude I did not want to make it provocative, so both turn as the languid nod of the head give the work a timeless subtlety (hence the finish old photographic techniques as opposed to the relative present zipper bodice). The woman closed eyes end to confer that sense of abandonment subtle indifference, eliminating any sexual content to the image.
All this and the chromatic range used provided with a warm sensuality to this photographic artwork.
This Fine Art artwork is a Gliceé print on Canson Rag Photographique 310g paper, in my opinion the very best paper that fits my photographic vision. The color reproduction and smooth texture of this paper is outstanding.
