Annick Donkers is a photographer living between Antwerp and Mexico City. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from KU Leuven and worked in market research while studying photography. In 2008, she traveled to Mexico with the support of a grant from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and participated in the Seminar on Contemporary Photography at Centro de la Imagen.
Her work has been awarded by the Sony Awards, PHmuseum, Critical Mass Photolucida and the Prix de la Photo at the Musée de la Photographie in Charleroi, among others. She has been presented at festivals such as Athens Photo Festival, Africa Foto Fair and during the Night of the Year at Rencontres d’Arles. In 2023, she published her first photobook, showcased at international art book fairs (Rencontres d’Arles, Printed Matter LA Art Book Fair, Vienna Art Book Fair, Polycopies, Zona Maco), and received awards from Px3 Prix de la Photo and the IPA Awards.
