Weekly Jum’a prayer offered on Fridays has a special significance to Muslims. National Mosque Baitul Mukarram,Dhaka,Bangladesh draws a huge crowd, particularly during Jum’a prayers, in normal time. But the onslaught of highly contagious coronavirus has changed everything – from our daily life to how people offer prayers. Unlike other times, the crowd was thin at the national mosque. Muslims offered prayer at Baitul Mukarram the central mosque of Bangladesh maintaining physical distance and prayed to Allah for mercy and deliverance from the global crisis. AUTHOR
