Andilana Beach
DESCRIPTION
This photograph was taken on the island of Nosy Be in northern Madagascar. In this place time seems to have stopped, marked only by the changing of the tides along vast and uncontaminated coasts. Every morning as if it were an ancient ritual, the beach is cleaned using archaic and rudimentary means in absolute silence. These are unique moments in which it is possible to reconcile with nature, in the hope that the magic of these moments can make each of us reflect on the often compromised relationship between man and the environment.
