Dreams Do Come True
DESCRIPTION
Meghalaya, a North East Indian state, because of its geologic structure and geographic location has volcanic rocks and has the place with the highest rainfall in the world - Cherrapunjee. Naturally, there are numerous waterfalls and thousands of rapids in the state which becomes my favourite hunting ground, for images, during and after the monsoon season. It was one of my dreams to capture startrails along with waterfalls but because the waterfalls there are fed seasonally, the realisation of the dream becomes tough. When the stars are out, there would be less water in the falls, which dries up totally post autumn season. At other times when the water flow is optimum, the sky would be covered with a thick blanket of clouds. Needless to say that this is a time blend shot where the foreground was captured in the blue hour and the stars were shot for 3+ hours after dark to get this time blend image. I was successful during my third visit to this location. AUTHOR
