Interlude In Blue
DESCRIPTION
Interlude in Blue is a body of work touching upon themes of loneliness, isolation and alienation while dealing with ideas of beauty, fantasy, theatricality and reality. This series of images is a journey exploring physical displacement, as well as of social and psychological dislocation. Individual aloneness, self- estrangement and the mood of an eerie stillness, instill an intrinsic sense of loneliness. AUTHOR
Born in Greece, Ioanna lives and works in Athens and Berlin.Her artistic journey in photography started in 2017 when she decided to take a leap towards a new career and attended the one-year photography course “Photography: Theories and Creative Practices” at the Athens School of Fine Arts.
She has recently obtained the Grand Winner prize as Amateur photographer of the year from 6th Fine Art Photography Awards and Second prize winner from Life Framer. She has been selected from Fresh Eyes Photo among the best 100 emerging photography talent from Europe.
Her works has also been nominated by International Photography Grant (2019), International Photography Award (2019), 12th International Color Award, 5th Fine Art Photography Awards, Tokyo International Foto Awards (2018), International Photography Award (2018), 11th Julia Cameron Award, International Photography Grant (2018).
Ioanna’s work has been exhibited In Rotterdam Photo Festival (2020), SomoS Art House Berlin, (2019), State of Concept Gallery, Athens (2019).
