DESCRIPTION
I wanted to create an artistic representation of the meaning of freedom during the coronavirus pandemic where lockdowns and self-isolation have essentially restricted our lives in many ways and caused pain and physical or mental suffering. Here I have a dancer captured in the vast, quiet expanse underwater, her artistic pose conveys peace and freedom from fear, undisturbed by the surrounding turbulence. While our physical existence may be threatened during uncertain and stressful times, our minds and our spiritual being can still be set free. If we can keep our focus or indulgence away from physical restraints or self pity, life will still be a beautiful and memorable journey. AUTHOR
My interest in photography dates back to the early years when I was a high school student. A friend of mine taught me a neat trick in double exposing a shot using a film camera and I was fascinated. Back then, photography was all on film. My indulgence in photography peaked when digital SLR cameras were introduced many years later. Not only was I interested in taking pictures, my training in design enabled me to explore ways to improve on the digital images that I took and to elevate my photography into an art form.
