Spring turnover
DESCRIPTION
Some places have a soul, an extra spark.After meandering up the mountain road, leaving the dramatic valley of Rjukan below, the plateau unfolds with Gaustatoppen rising above. The "Gausta in Seasons" project has documented this world-class mountain Norwegian destination for almost ten months, from December 2019 to September 2020.
This panoramic view of Kvitåvatn lake shows when the snow starts melting in the spring. It also triggers the lake turnover: a seasonal movement of water on which aquatic plant and animal life depend.
AUTHOR
I’m a French-Peruvian photographer based in Norway. Nature, urban life, and live music are among the topics that inspired me the most.Being always amazed by the beauty of nature and cultural heritage, I got involved in photography while documenting ecotourism experiences on the north coast of Peru in 2006. For my last project, GAUSTA IN SEASONS, I spent almost ten months (from December 2019 to September 2020) exploring this world-class mountain Norwegian destination.
Nowadays, I’m working on another nature-landscape-oriented project in Bergen.
