I had seen many Milky Way arcs in Hoces del Duraton, in Segovia, Spain, it's the typical composition in this location. I definitely wanted to give it a try, but I wanted my version to be different from what I've seen previously, it's normal, every photographer wants that unique touch. I had recently learned that when the moon is in it's waning gibbous phase it rises from the east, so if planned right, I could frame it right in the middle of a Milky Way arc. That's when I realized I had an opportunity to take a photo that not only would be different from the rest, but also beautiful.
