I captured this image in the fjords of East Greenland. I had been on a sailing trip in East Greenland 2 years before and was captivated by its beauty. When I returned in 2019, I decided to bring my drone, realizing that capturing images with it would provide a unique and much different perspective on the landscape and especially on the icebergs. For this image, I flew the drone up and out away from the sailboat I was on and then turned it around to capture the iceberg from above as well as the sailboat skirting the edge of the iceberg lurking just under the surface. The sailboat is 144 feet long and provides some perspective on how large the iceberg actually was.
