This image is of the Angel Oak Tree in Charleston, South Carolina. It was captured in the fall of 2019 while I was working on a photo essay that sought to visualize excerpts from Walt Whitman's poetry. This photo, in particular, attempted to visualize the essence and mood of Whitman's poem, "I Saw in Louisiana a Live-Oak Growing".
