Until dignity becomes habit, wave of protests in Latin America
DESCRIPTION
In late 2019 and early 2020, Latin America experienced a series of protests, called the 'Latin American spring,' which make visible the disagreement with governments of the region and the situation that the people were living. In Colombia, it begins on November 21, the day on which unions, students, indigenous people, African descent, social and women movements, took the streets of the main cities of the Andean country. That day marked the beginning of a few turbulent and violent months, which translated into hard confrontations between the riot forces and demonstrators. This series of photographs reflects the chaos and fear experienced on that first day of protests in November 21. AUTHOR
