Honorable Mention
Blue Series (Braking a Man)
DESCRIPTION
This photo I personally want to speak about depression especially men's depression. This topic tends to be easily looked over; I personally never really seen my father or my grandpa cry or be openly vulnerable about the hardship they go through. I can agree it's difficult for any man to talk about this topic especially when they have no one to express themselves too. Men often don’t talk of it, it’s almost Taboo for any man to express themselves without being judged or seen as weak. I started this project hoping it a start for us to be more understanding about why some men are hard and why some men find it difficult to open up to others. The photo was shot with a Canon T7i with a Sigma Art 85mm lens.
The backdrop is a mid-grey fabric cloth.
I used two softbox lighting pointed slightly angled facing the backdrop to bring up the lighting in the back while also casting a strong shadow in front of the model.
