Actually, I just photographed when I was traveling. In 2013, I became president of the Dutch Association of Amateur Photographers (Fotobond), acquired a broader view of photography and followed some mentoring. After I resigned there was more time to photograph. I attended a masterclass by Corinne Noordenbos and a basic course at the PhotoAcademy in Amsterdam.

I am interested in people and in their lives. I am curious about their feelings, emotions, thoughts and what moves them. I visualise themes such as longing, loneliness, melancholy, joy and sadness through the medium of photography. My images are a personal expression in which the viewer has the opportunity to project or recognize his/her own inner perception.
