"6G-Lost Heaven Sanctuary"
DESCRIPTION
Project "Virtual Generations" consists of 9 photographs of seascapes digitally enhanced by motion blur filtering, starting with "2G" where there's still some semblance of a natural world. By "6G" the future; a non-retroactive shift with more distinct lines and colors. At "7G" the image is darker and more ominous. From "8G" through "10G-A Sea of Ghosts" with soft light colors representing enlightenment and immortality; a world free of contaminants. AUTHOR
After years counseling the mentally ill, I started photographing and exhibiting a framed reference, void of subject, to "kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being…,” what Carl Jung referred to as the dark (not necessarily evil) side of another one’s soul (the subconscious), "a light of meaning," metaphor for actualization and transformation of thought. In retrospect, ”making the darkness conscious and bringing to light primal memories with certain patterns and color in nature that symbolize life, love, and spirit. The goal, with the public’s help, is to “kindle a light of meaning” on a global scale by donating the proceeds from the sale of my work to the Brain and Behavioral Research Foundation, an organization that provides grants for new and improved treatments for mental illness; my purpose since 1984.
