Fisherman and His Boat
DESCRIPTION
A fisherman stands on the side ledge of his colorful boat in Galle, Sri Lanka. He is wearing a striped dhoti and has an extra thumb with sharp nail. The boat is also striped and makes a graphic composition. I was drawn by the graphic element of the composition and the vibrant colors. And yet there is a figurative element to it which makes this conceptual piece more familiar. AUTHOR
I am a street photographer. My passion lies in capturing life in its natural state and finding the extraordinary within the ordinary. If my photographs could move viewers viscerally and make them reconsider the mundane reality as being somewhat magical, I have shared my vision. Throughout my travels, I have learned that the beauty of different cultures reveals itself remarkably the more I immerse in the culture and observe as an active participant.
