I began my photographic experiences and filmmaking at the Experimental Cinema Association when I was a high schooler. Having that experience made me more motivated to choose one of the art majors for my bachelor studies. I began my education in photography. Working on portrait, social photography, and the cityscape was my inspiration to do some photography projects like a photo collection of the city of Tehran with my panoramic rotating lens camera. “Child`s View” was one of the most important projects of mine that became my personal style and it also found its way overseas. Like a child, I tried to see everything with a fresh perspective, encountering the world as if for the first time.
In the East and the culture that I come from, the culture has been in oral and written form compared to European culture has been in a visual form which became the topic of Master’s thesis to find the reasons for this difference.
Conceptual art along with all its attractions plays a significant role in conciliating people with contemporary art in which I have had a contribution by doing scenography and TV set design which have made audiences acquainted with conceptual ideas of mine.
Now that we are living in the age of digital photography, I have been thinking about getting rid of the classical common frames in photography. I've had some experiences in this area, but it seems I'm at the beginning of a long way.
