DESCRIPTION
In this disproportionate immensity where nature seems limitless and beauty everywhere
present, the spectacle, constantly renewed, borders on the sublime.
Here, the power of this raw nature speaks to us, intimidates us and every moment we
offers sensations of the day after the creation of the world.
Greenland is a land of contrasts, a land of extremes where the harshness of
climate is perpetually conjugated with the sublime.
This series of photographs was taken during an artist residency: "Artists in
Arctic "(A collaborative artistic creation in the heart of the Arctic), aboard a boat
(Le Manguier) caught in the ice of the Far North, in Kaasarfik Bay, near the small
town of Aasiaat in GREENLAND (68 ° 42'37.2''N - 52 ° 45'50.9''W) in April 2017.
AUTHOR
I teach, for 20 years, the image and the associated techniques as a trainer and professor at the university, but also in schools of computer graphics in Paris and as a consultant for graphic designers, photographers or retouchers professionals.
Parallel to my activities related to teaching, I expose my work of plastic photography.
I exhibited at the National Museum of Brazil, following an artist residency in collaboration with the French Lycée de Brasilià.
I participated a few months ago in an artists' residence in Greenland: "Artists in the Arctic" (various current and future exhibitions).
In 2012 (Up and coming category) and 2018 (Street / Urban category), I was a finalist of the Hasselblad Masters competition.
