The first image of a series I started making during the first COVID 19 lockdown of 2020 (although shards of many of the ideas used have been with me far longer).
Through this series, I invite the viewer to escape with me into a magical reality of my creation based on quick flashes of inspiration that I happened to have noted down at the time, (day)dreams I've had that somehow stuck with me or books read and movies watched only to be completely forgotten about.
Using self-portraits, pictures either specifically taken or found in my archives, and photoshop I create a reality that while looking real, has clear signs of magic and wonder to it.
