The picture „Tearing“ is from my series „Dark Sides“.The series deals with bad experiences and - unsuccessful - coping mechanisms. The pictures of this project are deliberately kept minimalistic with a deep black background. The depicted people are anonymous: they are covered, turned upside down or shown from behind while their "Dark Sides" are exposed..
AUTHOR
Melanie Haberkorn is a graduate of the Photo Academy Cologne. After working as a criminal defense attorney and with her experience as a mother of two, she decided to study photography in 2013. From the very beginning, her interest was primarily focused on the artistic application of the medium and working with people. To this day, these aspects are combined both in her detail-loving productions and in her - bizarre to surreal - image manipulations.Melanie Haberkorn's works have been awarded prizes in numerous competitions and published in professional journals.
