I am Yana Mostitsky, and I enjoy creating artistic portraits that show off my client’s personality, profession and style, organizing and executing editorial style shoots with a surrealistic touch. I am a huge fan of retro style monochrome portraiture, and I do environmental fashion shoots for stylists who inspire me with their incredible designs.
I live with my husband and two daughters in a cute town named Pleasanton, in the San Francisco Bay Area. I was born in Moscow, grew up in Israel and several years ago moved with my family to California. Extensive travel made me incredibly open to different cultures. I love the Californian lifestyle and I enjoy meeting new people every day, learning their traditions and finding new friends. My first education is in Life Sciences, and thanks to that I have a pragmatic and organized approach to whatever I do. I have been a photographer for almost a decade, and since I am a lifelong student, I take classes towards M.A. in commercial photography at the Academy of Art University, and enjoy every minute.
