Honorable Mention
Subveil #4
DESCRIPTION
This photograph is part of my body of work Subveil. This series represents the Los Angeles subway as a surreal underworld and aims to reveal unconscious aspects of an everyday visual experience.
Thanks to the low light of the location and the texture of the high ISO color film, the bodies get fused together with their reflections and the space around them.
The subjects become characters of a shared dream: the images are crafted by the encounter between the subject’s identity and the unnatural environment they come to relate with.
