The Three Pillars of Abraham
DESCRIPTION
"The Three Pillars of Abraham - a project that visualizes everything I feel about what goes on in the world between people of different cultures and religions, in this case, the Abrahamic religions. Although the three are patriarchal religions, I chose a woman to identify the religion with. Back in the old days, before the monotheistic religions, there was paganism, with the female figure in the center, the one who bore fruit, the one from whom all is born and given life. Religions can do good and can build bridges between people and nations. Since the creation of monotheism, and its different splits and interpretations, man has known strife, hate, fear, division, manipulation of the masses, war, and conquest. It is the female force in my work that creates, that holds this fragile world together, the world that cries tears of blood, with the sole reason of confronting us in asking if we can not do it differently?” AUTHOR
