Through the Imaginative Landscape of JMW Turner - 01
DESCRIPTION
JMW Turner was an extraordinary person and artist who lived in an extraordinary time full of social changes and technical discoveries. He is the supreme representative of Romanticism, often referred to as the forerunner of the Impressionists. But he was also a person who paid a lot of attention to the industrial revolution in his work. My effort was to photographically implement references to contemporary industry into the English landscape, the Lake District. How would this connection work in the environment of Turner's composition and color? And are we satisfied with the current state? AUTHOR
Vladimír Kysela was born in Ústí nad Orlicí and currently lives in Liberec, Czech Republic.His work is based on the landscape tradition, but his ambition is to depict the inner stories of the mind mainly in the form of abstract and graphically conceived projects. Always interested in the moment of initiating impulse for landscape rendering. Since 2017 he is a member of the Czech Association of Professional Photographers, APF, since 2019 he is QEP – certified European photographer as well. His projects based on literary stimuli (Karel Hynek Macha, Hans Christian Andersen and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry) were awarded at major international competitions. He regularly exhibits his works in galleries in the Czech Republic and abroad.
Recently, his attention has turned to organising photographic expeditions and courses that aim to understand the work of the chosen artist. Based on this knowledge, in cooperation with other photographers, they capture the environment in which the artist was active, utilising mostly ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) and ME (Multi Exposure) methods. The organisation of workshops, courses and lectures is an integral part of his artistic activities.
