Life itself can rob us of peace if we are not careful. When I traveled to Brazil, I hoped to meet some amazing people and enjoy the culture of the land; yet, I did more than that. Strolling along the coast brought me an inner calmness I had been lacking. No litter, no humans, no noise pollution, nothing. Serenity permeated the air, and I was nothing short of content. From a higher vantage point, the brightness of the rolling waves and curves of the coastline were clearly visible and breathtaking when viewed as one.

So often as humans we get wrapped up in "everyday life" that we forget to just stop, take a deep breath, and enjoy the marvelous world around us. This Brazilian coast gleams of peace and relaxation; it is my tranquil tide.
