The train hisses, the red light flashes, the door opens. Some leave the wagon, others quickly jump in. Who are they? Where are they all going? What connects us?
This is a project about people we meet every day on the train or at the station. People who immediately catch our eye, or who we don't even notice at first. People we sometimes stare at or just glance at. Who are they? Where are they all going?
Even if all these unknowns appear to us as just a crowd, they are all individual and carry their personal stories and their unique worlds with them. They are like you and me on the way to places where they can express themselves in different ways. Because at the stations where they leave the train, they are sports world champions, choreographers, artists, activists, politicians, pupils, students, simply lovers of their homeland, sons, daughters, mothers, friends. These people are more than just their jobs, their looks, their origins or their personal lives.
This project is inspired by ordinary places, ordinary situations and extraordinary people who are reading a book next to us on the train, looking out of the window or simply giving us a friendly smile.
Who are they? Where are they all going? What connects us?
