PARTICULAE
DESCRIPTION
PARTICULAE (Particularities) is a part of an image series started during the limited condition of social isolation. The artist has been photographing and exploring spaces and colorful lights emanating from windows, doors and diverse spaces. In this way, unobserved details appear in isolation. Surprises are revealed in varied and distinct compositions that actually correspond with the theme that inspired the artist. In this moment of confinement, art has been the great breath. Without art we wouldn't have culture. Art is the antidote to madness. Expressing yourself through art is an important issue and even a survival issue since we are exposed to countless challenges.
It’s also an allusion, visual interpretation of the increasingly world we are immersed by the widely connected societies, its mutant aesthetics, AI, and technology.
Can we really be the authors of all information AI offers us?
How to separate the technology offerings from our creative capacity?
Human intelligence versus technology: what will this coexistence be like on a planet threatened by the depletion of natural resources?
Is all this the failure of human contact?
It's this thinking that has enabled Verônica to capture these images in isolation and also to highlight colours as an essential factor in human life. After all, color is how the human brain interprets the electro-nervous signals coming from the eye and they didn't suddenly appear on our computers for us to click and use them, but in a much more analog and laborious way.
Thought process Verônica create and reinvent these distinct moments, resulting in diverse interpretations for a visual narrative
