DESCRIPTION
Jade is a writer and actor and importantly she identifies as black and queer and is having her first child following IVF with her partner Grace.Their journey to successful pregnancy hasn’t been easy and their fortune remains a rarity due to many factors: money, mixed ethnicity & sexual orientation. Zwischen is a German preposition which can denote movement from one thing or state to another . Here, Zwischen refers to the journey towards motherhood & that special point in time of suspense and anticipation as everything is about to change. This forms part of a greater ongoing project exploring modern day parenthood that confounds expectation and bucks the trend of historical narrative. AUTHOR
I am a portrait and still life photographer and studio manager based in London. I shoot across a variety of publications, often with little brief, budget or turnaround time. That doesn't stop art directors and picture desks from being demanding however so I have become accustomed to being creatively fast-paced! I love to shoot on my own terms too, where I get the chance to explore my own ideas in greater depth. I aim to create arresting photographs often with a bold colour palette and a lighting style that is graphic and dynamic.
